Well, you guys are gonna' think I'm crazy, but I just pulled the trigger on the NC30 deal.
Should be here between the 19th and 25th.
My brother and nephew don't know it yet, but I'm volunteering them as stove movers when it gets here.:D

Cool, good luck with the stove, I could have bought my Drolet and a NC 30 and had plenty of money left over for what I paid for the Summit.

That's a great price. Hope it keeps you comfortable.

At that price, the great thing is that if by any chance you aren't happy after a season you can likely sell it for almost what you paid for it. At a time when there is a good sale price available on a replacement.

    Good luck.

    Looking forward to see photos...

Yeah, I need to remember to take pics.
    That should be fun.

Awesome, I hope it works out! Even if the shoulder seasons are still a bit of a roller coaster it should save you wood overall and give you the extra firepower during the coldest stuff.

It has to be better than the Ashley, for the most part.
The idea of using less wood is nice.
Instead of having 3 years worth, I may now have 4.
Getting it now should give me a chance to get my act together learning to burn it.

Not sure if I'll do that in the drive or just take it in the house and open the window.

It's kind of hard to tell with this cold weather we've had This year but, It looks like I'm burning Between 1/3 to 1/2 Less wood then I was with the Dragon.
I don't know anything about your Ashley but, In my case I am spending a lot less time screwing around the stove too.
I know you have been thinking about it a long time, Are you excited???
    I would be very excited.
Are you going to hook it up as soon as you get it?

Do you have a bad back or knees?

The 30 is pretty easy to move about. Remove the bricks, tilt back, slide dolly underneath, and roll the stove into place. You can remove the door also, if need be.

Yep, I think it'll go straight in the house and onto the hearth, if I can get the dblwall pipe before then.
This has been a multi-year quest for me. May not be the final chapter, but should be good for a minute or two.
I'm a little excited, but it's being tempered until the credit union acct. takes the final hit.
With the Ashley, I put in 3-4 splits in the morning to burn down coals, and within about 1.5-2 hours, it's time for a reload.
I'd be pretty happy with 3 hours on that load with the NC30. 1/3 less wood use would be great, 1/2 would cause a happy dance. :)
Man, WTH's going on with the smileys?

Bad back AND knees. I can be walking along and have one feel like it's about to buckle...with attending pain.
    So much fun.
Yep, local guy will rent a dolly (might even let me borrow one) tome, and the bricks/door will be removed. I'll install the legs.

When I moved my stove in I took out, The bricks, the baffles, steel plates in the top, And removed the door.
That made a big big diffrence, The stove was 430 lbs to start with, Furniture sliders did the job really good in my situation And I moved it in by myself
