    4/5,
Its a great quick resource and gives a good idea of heat source on a stacked level. I see other charts and others have different numbers churning out some noticable discrepancies (no fault to the author!) Just wondering why a few are different with BTU's.

      Author's Response
It seems that everyone does their own studies. I did my best to average all the work done by others, which basically gave me a larger data pool to source from and allowed me to add species that weren't necessarily on all of the lists.

    5/5,
Due to all the variables the drying times listed may or may not be what you personally experience.
The drying times are a great relative chart when comparing one wood to another.
    Good job!

    5/5,
Awesome! I have made the same thing in Excel a few years ago. Nice to have online now. The drying times are so subjective and dependent on location, how stacked... I'd rather see it stated as; "long, Medium, or Short" drying time.

      Author's Response
We can add some further instruction for the drying times.
