Watching a movie with two of the three kids. Spent the morning at the real job, the afternoon on the tractor, and spending the evening with the family. It’s been a good day.

The Kubota M59 is really getting some work done. I condensed several piles together to get them further away from any trees and so I will have less to burn. Still going to take a while to burn that many big piles away. Hopefully we will get some of this forecasted rain and the timing is right for me to get one or two burned.

I'd rather have more smaller piles tonight all at once and get burned faster.

There was nothing small about any of the piles before. Too much material to get rid of and no rain for a long while made it keep adding up. We’ll see how much rain we get over the next four days of clouds and precipitation that are forecast. I won’t burn unless I’m sure it is going to be good and wet. And then there is that darn job thing that makes timing of burning difficult.:picard:

Good morning to all Firewood Hoarders. A nice cold can of Pepsi going down while I look at a slight drizzle outside. Looks like we received a little rain while I was sleeping this morning. But there will be no burning going on until we have a much higher chance of rain and it is going to stay for a longer period of time. Oh well, it will come sooner or later.

And this morning I see where a friend who lives 50 miles east of us has received over 3/4" of rain since yesterday morning. It is raining there again this morning while all we've gotten has been mist today. Our rain gauge says we got .2" of rain yesterday. Things are wet but that won't do much for the ground. But, we keep hoping we'll get more.

You can have what were having now. It did look like our rain is going to stop finally though, and get sunny and warm. It better. I've got a boat I want to drop in the lake today.

Yea I hope to put mine in later, go swimming some then fishing with my son.

The poop scare is gone from all the poop scare people. Estimated 90,000 gallons of sewage leaked into the lake.

Test results a day or two after the fact are way below the allowable limits for coliform. The lake is also 80,000 acres and like 3,000,000 gallons a day are let through the damm.

    Yum. E coli.

Gross. Around here the e coli comes from geese poop. There's the big lake to my east, lake Michigan, but my 19' boat is too small for that, plus that lake is usually cooler than you want for swimming.

Garden progress! She did a LOT of weeding today! I was sleeping off a migraine and lost the wife so I decided to water the gardens when I got up because it’s hardly rained at all. When I got behind the greenhouse there she was with two huge zucchini’s and a pickling cucumber.

No they taste good! We usually let them grow to about that size. Any bigger and the zucchini’s get to tuff and rubber.

We didn’t even know they where there till today those two where hidden under a bunch of weeds!
