2018-07-20 19.52.45.jpg 20180720_181201.jpg Cut some wood today that was blown down I'm one of the summer thunderstorms a few weeks ago. It was from one of the big landowners near where I work. Blew into the highway ROW and took out the power line. The power company cut the top up and I actually loaded ot up a few weeks ago and took it back to the house a little at the time on the hitch haul on the back of my Highlander. Cut the rest up today after work, over loaded the little trailer just a little:whistle: cause I didn't want to get the big one out today.

Good job getting after the wood. Nice when mother nature drops them for you.

A few more before cut and loaded. The Web site was not cooperating and kept giving me an error so I just made this second post with them. 2018-07-20 20.59.53.jpg 2018-07-20 21.00.21.jpg

Very nice looking red oak. Big heavy pieces, but nice size to handle without too much trouble. Good job.

    Hoard on!

And now boys and girls, a bedtime story about the little trailer that could. It carried that oak all the way home, saying “I think i can I think I can I think I can...” :salute:

Looks solid all the way to the bottom. Nice.

The last 3 rounds had some rot, the bottom one was about 25% rotted out in center, the ones right above that had some punky stuff in a portion of them but that's it. Above those 3 it was solid!

    Nice score!

I cut a red oak just like that this spring that was about 18" or 20" around at the stump and I cut it 20" long. I busted a couple of the biggest rounds in half with the maul to get them out of the woods. I like trees that size... Straight and not too big around.

I got a little over half a cord out of mine.

Big rounds of red oak make for a nice looking firewood stack. Post a pic or two when your done stacking.

You didn't get me on the fact summer is only spelled with one M?? My phone is getting really laggy and things are getting worse. Not sure why that didn't correct.
Need an @Moderating to correct that thread title.

Just loaded some of the saws in mine for today’s tree job. Your k15 makes me miss my old crusty truck.
