We have the OPPOSITE issue. Everyone use to have a copier, a printer, a fax machine and maybe a scanner. Now one MFP does ALL OF THAT so when it goes down its a 4 alarm emergency for some businesses. Yet these are the same ones that want to cheap out and demand to not pay much for service contracts. I like to ask these people what they pay for their cell phone for the year, their home cable bill, their home internet service bill yet they dont want t pay reasonable prices to maintain a piece of equipment that they deem so critical when it doesn't work:faint:

There is a reason I am not in sales :)

I'm glad I work on my stoves and know them inside and out.

I can't imagine the frustration of no heat. I just asked for a quote for a new auger and a new ignitor for my Fahrenheit pellet furnace. Just because it is our main source of heat. I don't have anything left in our LP tank.

I can see how others who don't know anything about them? Could be frustrated and scared. Especially if it was the sole source of heat. I know many local pellet burners around me. But only a few rely solely on that stove for heat. And many have houses much larger than mine and a couple stories tall. I have a furnace that heats my whole home.

Glad you got them squared away!! They probably will refer you to friends and family (if they were not referred already). Word of mouth is a big deal to most. I clean absolute strangers stoves based on this. And I do it for next to nothing. One of them I met on the last site. Their stove wasn't working at all. After 3 years of running? All the ash had fallen down the liner and had the combustion blower completely stopped.. Seemed like a simple fix for me. But had them with no heat.

Funnyish story....We use Konica crap at the office for years. Tried to get (2) 4000P's added back on to a maintenance contract. Our sales lady is so fukkin flaky that she never got back to us. Had to go to her "boss" and say wtf, why isn't she getting back to us. We thought she got chit canned. He sends an email to her, copies me on it and she STILL never got back to us. This went on for two months over the summer. It was always an issue dealing with her, business must be so good she doesn't need the biz. Corporate used to dictate that we use Konica, we've now switched to a company the sells Ricoh.....screw corporate. I think our buyer was getting kickbacks from them or something.

A few years ago I told my young shop helper to put a bolt he had found ON the pellet stove… he put it IN the hopper. Got cold about 3 hours later...
