I rescued that cat from the industrial park where I work.I saw him one day as a little kitten and started leaving food for him.It took 3 or 4 months before he would trust me but eventually he came home with me.That was 14 years ago.His name is Rusty.

I have thrown meat into a small food processor for our older cats over the years. Add tiny bit of water and it turns into a paste they can handle.

Your OP sounded as if you were pretty upset about it...
That's why I said don't worry about it.
You are obviously in a different position than I am.
My experience has been that they don't bother with guys like me....
I've done similar things on mine tons of times...
By all means do what you feel comfortable with!

Oh I am likely in the same position you are and every bit counts-I am also the one who would be caught trying to get an extra 75 bucks back and it would cost me far more than that.

I have learned in life to weigh the pros and cons and this just isnt worth it.

We hire our taxes done, file long form but standard deduction. Don't come close to being given able to itemize. Don't want any negative encounters with the tax man

I'm in the same boat except I use tax software. Pay max taxes because I can't itemize. Heck, only got to itemize for one year back in the late '80's. Amazing how everyone assumes you can itemize because "but you own a house!". God, If my house cost so much that the taxes and interest come up to enough to itemize, I have no money left to eat!

From another thread. Not fair as its off topic

Konica is actually Konica Minolta and has been for about 11-12 years now, they use to be 2 separate companies. I worked for 2 Minolta dealers over the years and then for Minolta Corp when one dealer business was sold to them. Konica came in and bought Minolta (merger my azz) and good things came to an end. Everything started being done Konica's way and the work environment began changing fast. At that time I went to work for a long time Konica Minola dealer (Minolta dealer for many many years) where the owner dropped the line after the new regime made it difficult for small independents to deal with them.

How do you like the Ricoh? We sold them for a short period after dumping KM but they did not live up to our expectations and we ended up with Sharp which has done very well for us. Owner brought in Xerox 2 years ago when Sharp started have real $$ trouble, so now ewe have both lines JIC anything happens with Sharp.

    I'm not surprised!!!

Just installed an all-in-one MP 402 up in our payment center, it's a small table top unit. It's nice but the GUI seems a bit clunky to navigate around on but maybe I'm just not used to it. IT added drivers on the print server, I added IP info on the unit and we were good to go.

They lost business because of a flaky sales person :picard:

    ditto..
Have never itemized. And I have a duplex.
I used to laugh when people would say to save my receipts from my lawnmower gas etc.
I never came close to beating the standard...
Of course I never had huge income either...

Spent yesterday piddlin about the shack. Had to change an outside light switch. Sanded the drive and spread some ice melt on the chunky spots. Help take down the xmas tree and store all the stuff away. Then rearranged the furniture to our normal living arrangement... Set back up the cat tree's and their play area. While she was getting the laundry caught up I vacuumed and dusted.

Set up our new all in one printer/scanner/copier I bought the wifey for xmas. Of coarse had issues with her laptop not configuring the drivers. It worked fine when it was hardwired to the network. Just balked when it was using the wireless connection. Seems some dummy(meaning me) had her on a guest account. Set it up to main connection and the printer worked!!

She used a gift card when we we at Lowes the other day and bought a bunch of LED's. I got all of the lights we use the most swapped out and then put the CFL's where we had incandescent's. Hoping to save a lil $$ on the electric bill. Got a few more incandescent's to replace, But will need dimming LED's. We can save a bunch with this one as it has 8 25 watt bulbs. Each LED only uses 9 watts for the same lumens produced. Also my work bench has 2 CFL's I'd like to convert to LED's. But that will be a conversion and its a bit $$. Likely wait until the bulbs crap out. For now they are fine as is. But seeing the LED's do cut the watt usage from 32 to 17 its likely worth it down the road.

Today is a slack before we go back to work. Most exercise will be stuffin my face!! ;)

Ricoh has been around for a long time. The 2 years we carried them they were not good units at all but from what I gather they have improved quite a bit again. The techs called them "copier by playschool" during that period 10 years ago.

Now the Ricoh Aficio 1515 table top was a work horse that we continued carrying for years after dropping the line. That model stayed exactly the same for the next few generations since when you have something that works, dont screw with it-just make a small cosmetic change and give it a new model #.

Regarding the GUI, the manufactures have changed them to look similar cell phones and many customers are not liking the change as its very cumbersome-just like the damm cell phones can be. This all started a few years ago but I guess if you have a 5 year old around they can probably navigate it with ease for you.  This is just a another sign of me getting old and not liking many of the changes coming down the road :BrianK:.

The thing I dont like about CFL is that they need to warm up to be bright so garage or colder areas are a PITA this time of year. Now that LED are finally giving decent "warmer" light, I am switching over whenever I can find good prices. For some reason the ones I bought for the garage wont work in my old Craftsman door openers. Its like the base is in the way of making contact. These openers are about 20 years old so the recpetacle is not modern. I havnt tried any more that the cheapo LED that I bought this past fall.

The reason we switched was they were on sale and the gift card covered all of them.
Notice how bright they are right from the get go, Where the CFL need a warm up. I had 3 100 watt(23watt) CFL's and replace them with 3 100 watt(16 watt) LED's in the basement. Wow is it far brighter on start and even after the CFL's warmed up. Both the CFL's and LED were rated at 1600 Lumens and daylight. But for some reason the LED's seem brighter than the CFL's even after they warmed up?? A bonus as its saving energy too. Well more importantly $$ :D

Couldn't find a CFL that wasn't made in china, But these LED's are made in the US. So that's another plus too!! ;)

One of the outside fixtures didn't work until I bent the tab in the socket out some more. All the others work without issues.

He!! I own a house no way can it get me to be able to itemize. No interest on it and the taxes are a pittance compared to the big city of Portland.

Same here, The main usage stuff is now all LED's. Only the low usage stuff is CFL's.

I tried to keep a tally of what we were saving in wattage, But gave up after I hit 100 watts total. Err I mean lost track due to CRS!! :emb:

Slick got into some kibble last night and set him back a little. Gums are still healing so even the pate stuff is bothering him a little today. He generally doesnt eat pate so I have to find him something he likes. Tried Fancy Feast pate as my vet calls it "kittie crack" and he is eating that.
