X27 is currently $59.47 on Amazon. Cheapest I've seen it. Lost my 7' pry bar for over a year. It has got me out of plenty pinches and makes rolling big logs easy. I knew the general area I left it, but it is painted green. Everything now has orange duct tape on it or spray painted red.

It's quite out of charachter for me to lose something like I have. Always a strong advocate for good care of tools. Can't think of any other time I have ever left a man (saw) behind and needed to go back for. Normally the stuff I 'lose' is a carb diaphragm kit or something that I bought as a spare 5 years ago and then cannot locate when needed (even though it is there somewhere).

Did some weedeating on Saturday then worked on trimming back one of the trails. After a ride around yesterday before the rain started...I have a bunch to do yet. First photos are before and after though it doesn't show near as well in the pic as it does standing there. This particular trail is now 100% pinstripe free, even for a big truck.

Another random shot of same trail after trimming.

Knew the rain was coming yesterday. Wanted to get some wood tarped and try to clean up a couple of stick piles at the area I weedeated Saturday. On my way to depoly the tarp I saw a strange stick on the trail.

    Screenshot_20230612-070019.png

Well hello there! It's easy to understand how they get hit on the road. It's defense was to 'look like a stick'. Wouldn't move. I parked and carried my tarp around.

    Screenshot_20230612-070035.png

When I finished with the tarp, this is what was visible on way back to the buggy. Go get em buddy! lol

    Screenshot_20230612-070055.png

Hurried back down below and filled the trailer with sticks and junk. Rain started just as I pulled up to the burn pile to unload. That was the end of my weekend outdoor adventures.

I like that idea. I've lost neon yellow, neon green and red tools. The neons fade too fast, a couple weeks in the sun and they no longer stand out. Blue, I'm going to give that a try!

Went to work on the latest blowdown on Saturday. Mainly just wanted to open the trail back up and prep the tree.

Good bit of energy stored here.

    Screenshot_20230619-070142.png

This little stub was driven into the ground but was not holding any weight really.

    Screenshot_20230619-070049.png

    Screenshot_20230619-070019.png

Prettymuch all the weight is on the still attached limb here. The one to the left that is touching ground will wiggle if you push on the tree, so this one is the one holding.

    Screenshot_20230619-070105.png

Piled the limb trash and left the site ready for a visit from the tractor. ( I may actually process this one at site, it's ALL the way in the back of this tract.)

    Screenshot_20230619-070004.png

Went to visit the seldom travelled to north tract yesterday to spend a couple hours pruning face smackers in preperation for bush hogging. Found two trails blocked by trees, one of which is a real mess. Some junk pines gave up and flopped. So lots of work ahead to clear them with no firewood yield. Yay. I did also prune some on Saturday once finished with the tree.

I gave this one a real good look at before and during. No help, so no one to call the air ambulance for me. Will end up backing the tractor blade up against to 'hold' the weight when I cut the branch. I would like to take the ones on the 'downhill' side off first, but afraid that may cause the trunk to roll off the stump. I suppose I could chain to tractor, but prefer just to not be in harm's way. I'll get the limb off and see how I'm sitting after.

Sounds like a good plan. Forgot you have the tractor.

I really did not miss the humidity at all. Sopping with sweat to clear these two trails yesterday. Seldom visited area. Bush hog coming soon so have to get everything clear.

    Screenshot_20230625-174900.png

Worked on clearing some brush today and again just sweaty. My buddy is smarter than me enjoying some time with his pupper.

    Screenshot_20230625-174834.png

Managed a bit of weedeating yesterday as well. This weather drops my productivity easily by 30%.

I agree. It's currently 77% relative humidity here with a dew point of 73. :dennis: Sucks..

Two or three weeks? Going to put the new one in storage for backup.

Happy to finally find it. I now remember using it there.

Decent victory today. I was so hot and bothered from weedeating that I didn't celebrate a lot. Just relieved I can take it back out of the stupid book. We'll go with 'absent minded'. lol
