Rain day. By the time it quit my motivation was wrecked. I did fire up a couple trimmers and whatnot to make sure everything is happy. Found a broken vent line that I'm out of at the moment of course.

Crapped out on woods time this weekend. Getting tired of this miserable weather.

Went to the big motorcycle shop yesterday. A buddy needed some stuff so I tagged along. Did get me a gallon of oil for the buggy. Took opportunity to try on some helmets I've been curious about. These guys must have 300 bikes on their floor. This is just a small section. So many buggies they have them out in their parking lot. A MSF course was going on when we left. The building smells like new bike.

    Pretty good weekend.

    Made a little wood.

    Funky grains again.

Planted 50 of these in various places.

Got some more sticks picked up a long with a mess of dead junk trees that fell on one of the yards. No good wood. Since I had the tractor out for it I went and started scraping the leaves and sticks off some trails today.

Got rid of an elm and some branches Friday evening. Had taken the day off to clean on my truck and get first mow done. Stellar wether.

Cleaned off some of the main trails.

    Bluebells doing thier thing.

    1000001684.png

Checked the smurf village. So far just these two little ones.

    1000001685.png

Red maple gave up. I can get to this one.

    1000001682.png

More trail cleaning and some fishing yesterday. A little chestnut oak that was blocking a trail.

Great saws. Stump stood back up.

    1000001680.png

Pulled a little hickory from here that I've been eyeing.

    1000001677.png

Left the branch wood behind for now.

Got the oil changed in the buggy yesterday also. Pretty productive weekend even though I'm nursing a bad trigger finger. Yesterday was one of the nicest weather days I can remember recently. Gonna go check the shroom patch again in a couple days.

Got nothing done in the woods Saturday. I am poorer and richer at the same time. Triumph found a new owner. I got what it was worth...why do I still feel like I got taken? lol

    1000001730.png

Figured I'd finally test out this Kawi oil I bought cheaply. So far so good. Mixed a gallon up for the thirsty trimmer.

    1000001731.png

Bucked this hickory. The chestnut still has tto much mud on it...needs rained on some more then I'll get it sectioned.

    1000001732.png

    1000001733.png

Went and ran the weedeater for about an hour. Broke the seal for the year. Yay. Then wanted to get a rifle sighted. Ruger 77/357. I took 124gr .38 special. Only fired one round. They were coming out supersonic and I didn't want to make a rukus yesterday.

    1000001735.png

    My benchrest. lol

    1000001736.png

So those fancy target dots are overpriced. I found these at Uncle Wally's for a dollar something.

    1000001734.png

Not yet to grips with the fact that where my motorcycle has been parked for 13 years is now an empty space. So why'd I get rid of it? Because it mostly has just sat in that spot for the last five years. It's too good a bike for someone not to be riding it. Luckily I found the right buyer. Has formerly owned a Daytona 675, so he knows what these bikes are and appreciates them. He got probably the cleanest example for hundreds of miles around. Seemed happy about it.

Full of beads that were purchased at the now defunct JoAnn Fabrics store. A former coworker used to 'generate' quite a few empty Crown bags. I asked for some and have various uses for them. I used to have my own made sandbags from some heavy cloth bags but the dust would come through. Plastic beads way to go.

Uncle was a liquor salesman, had lots of Royal bags growing up. Agree on plastic beads

Well Saturday was a complete bust. I got out for a little bit yesterday. Wanted to check the shroom patch one more time, no joy. Was gonna ride through the crick to wash the buggy a little while it's running with all this rain. Came to this mess on my way. Everything soaking wet with budding tops laying in water. Yay.

    1000001800.png

Pumper will be coming today. Trail is open.

    1000001801.png

Here's the troublemaker. Has a bee hive. They were flying around the log where the break is in the trunk. I probably won't get any of this wood. Aside from the bees, I'd have to drag it over top of exposed (not properly buried) poly gas line. Could possibly take some of the branch wood, but it's a soggy tangle at the moment (top laying over a vernal pool). I bet this made some noise when it went down.

The tune I run has the trimer working well but it creates black goo out the exhaust because I rarely use much rpm. Decided to clean today.

    Deisel fuel bath.

Followed with propane torch. It was like one of those trick birthday candles. lol

Hour and half straight last night. Tank and half of fuel. Got two lots done. Bank of doom and oil tank yard up next. Can't even tell where I did some last week. I miss the drought already.

    1000001837.png

I stopped to check monie box while trimming around the wood stand and found a little.

I was right about that beech. Went to investigate. Honey bee hive. Can't see in the picture but some comb is visible in the hole.

    1000001860.png

Found some of the little red flowers I like.

    1000001861.png

Had an hour to finally get some rounds out of the 77/357. Used 158gr .38 special. Sounds like a loud air gun with the suppressor on.

    1000001864.png

10 shots sent. It's settled in about 3/4" high. (was shooting short range to get it sighted) Random ammo I got at Academy for the weight and FMJ.

My buddy pulled a nice shovel head yesterday from the flooded river on a goldfish. I caught a 4lber Saturday evening on some liver.

    1000001858.png

Right after he threw it back in, I got to see a fledgling bald eagle grab a fish out of the river. :usa:

This weeks spare work time project. Modify a Honda wheel kit to fit a Yammy genny. (I got both for basically nothing) The feet did bolt right up which was nice. Gonna have to do a little fabbing to make the axle and handle work. This thing is too heavy not to have wheels (150lb or so, which is stout for a 4k unit)

Well that's pretty much a wrap. Got the holes drilled. Not much room around the frame tubes so I had to grind some cariage bolt heads for custom fit.

    1000001878.png

    1000001876.png

I needed something for the carry handles to butt up against when using. Took the upper fram bars and put them inside the handle allowing the handle to be located and also a push point for the bar when deployed. This actually went real smooth. I did lose a cross lifting lug that is now not the correct width to fit.

Didn't take much in way of pics this weekend. Got through some weedeating. Started some cleanup in the woods along the road. Did a little painting. Going to have to make some more firewood bags as I put my last into the stand yesterday.

This guy is pretty well ready for bucking. The other one still has a good bit of mud. I rolled it over so it can get washed off. If the rain keeps going like it has, it won't take long to get clean.
