Have converted this year to all Hamer's, all the time. And must say, all happy. A lesson for the future, if my dealer will cooperate. So little ash, so much heat. And can tell no difference between those labeled premium that used to be called super premium. Appears they were accurate that this was just a labeling thing.
They burn very very well. I can go longer between cleanings, glass stays cleaner, and the burnpot air holes don't slowly block up between cleanings like w/ the hardwood pellets I've burned. Earl
This year I've been burning the best pellets I can get my hands on. I've had La Crete, Okanagan Platinum, Okanagan Douglas fir, Cleanfire Fir and a bunch of "best of the worst" box store pellets. I still have to say that in my stove the best pellets I've burned so far as far as heat, clean burn and ash are Lignetics from the hardware store. Next year I'm going to get a ton of them and mis mash my other ton for fun.
It's funny, in my stove, the two tons of Hamer's I burned last year weren't the best, clinker fest 2015.
Funny, the Lignetics I got were fairly ashy in the P43 compared to FSU's and Pres-to's. Don't get me wrong, they burned fine and had decent heat, but wasn't overly impressed. didn't try any in the P61 though - it might have loved them if I had, who knows?
I wouldn't ever hesitate to pick up the Lignetics - my stove loves them. Just wish someone around here would carry them. TSC had them for the past several years but not this year.
