Thanks, we have been slowly working on it for quite a few years. Got our tractor in Jan '07, so I guess a few months later is when we started more firewood.
We started filling another shed with 16" splits Monday evening after work. Had to get the lights set up and some logs bucked to length. We only got about 1/2 a pickup load done. I ordered the grizzly bar extension table for Blue Samson, it came in Tuesday, got ot put on and splitter on a better position. Finished the rounds left from Monday night and bucked/split 2 more logs. Almost a truck load Tuesday night I'm pretty sure when this shed is done, we will have finished the very first wood we cut from the Plantation, it was mixed with other logs on the skids... Before we started stacking the Plantation oak After adding poles
Beautiful stacks! Mine look nothing like that. I do stack anything that will burn, odd stuff thrown on top. Yours are a work of art!
Thanks for the compliment...... My hunny does most of the stacking now. She hasn't gotten comfortable with the new splitter yet.
Well, finally got back to and more of the Plantation hoard. Used the CS2511T and Acc-u-mark gauge to size logs and the XS029 to buck. Tried a different grind on the semi chisel chain, cuts and feeds really well. Wish my YouTube editing skills were better... Then it was time for Blue Samson to have some fun... This is some pretty oak... Got the tote stacked with about what the tractor can handle easier, moved it to storage site, will finish filling there. Made progress on the pile, then the rain came... After the rain passed, had time to do some more... Got that pile stacked in another tote This will be for the restaurant, we now have 6 totes to rotate for them. Over a years supply.
