I like that size too. I went back and watched it again, got 7 splits out of the 1st 3 quarters, 9 on the big one that fell off, total of 30 splits. I made a mark on the single wedge and on the 4 way, 4" up and out, most splits were at least 4x4, some bigger. My hunny was grunting handing me some of the bigger ones whe. I was on the ladder stacking.
When we got the big shed finished, we had a few 18" rounds left over. Found 1 more 330 gal (1/3 cord) tote empty, so we got it filled and put it in the restaurant rotation, makes 7 totes total for them...
Hey T.Jeff Veal there must be immense satisfaction in using that 4 way and then standing back and viewing those beautiful stacks!
Im sure he does as yourself as well. In the time ive been a member here id say the the both of you have the nicest stacks. I especially like your "pizza slice" splits on the cribbed ends.
Cheesecake or pizza? Either way now im hungry. We'll buy a cheesecake every now and then. I joke to her during supper to save room for cheesecake!
Prepped 2 more tall totes the other day. Started filling this one yesterday, finished it this morning, 1/3 cord, 14" splits Then we did the other tote this evening...
I have 6 of the 330-gallon totes around, only one is in use for my scrap copper cable to take in one of these days. Want to bring the other 5 in for wood, just haven't done it yet and only using the 275-gallon for now.
Sure wish I could get those 5...lol... But I got some more skids, pallets and lumber to build a couple more sheds.
