Yeah, a "neighbor" some 60 miles away +/-. Also had help from CleanFire picking up the P43 that is now on my main floor. Both gave me several hours of their time, plus equipment, a bit of muscle and some know-how. They are the ones deserving of prizes!
Not to but my neighbors put in some posts today running the length of my Wood pile. The same Wood pile that sits on our border down the driveway. He has chained off the end of the drive evidently in an effort to keep my many boyfriends from parking in his drive or to keep his trailer from being towed away. Interestingly enough is the fact he did not hug the property line but connected it to the fence which sits 2 feet on their side. The fence I had to move away from to allow them more room! There is now a demilitarized zone. Go figure
Doesn't look like very much room on either side of the trailer......must be a good backer-upper! As far as placing the fence 2 feet in from the property line, that is what we have around here for fence codes. I wonder if both neighbors agree to the fence if it can be built right on the line? It would make sense, no? And one more thing. If all your new boyfriends can't find the right house/driveway to stop park their vehicles in........ keep looking! You wouldn't want them to stop something in the middle of it to go move their truck....
I got the tarp hung over my 16 foot shed but the dusk crept in so I'll picture it later. I got a blister using my stupid corded drill but no nails were broken in the process
im really not a builder but i have used pallets to stack wood on. mostly what i do is run 2 metal t post side by side in the ground and run the post through the center of the pallet to help stabilize the stack. because im a terrible stacker and have a problem with things toppling over.
Yeah summer got in the way for me, my rack is almost full, but I never added the steel roofing over the whole thing. Then it stayed august until Friday this week. It's finally cool enough to think of working with wood again, but my time is already blocked out for a few weeks
I don't know if you noticed but you linked to the same thread I posted in. So the entries are scattered in the thread? I would have liked to got in on this but then I don't think I had time with the trans going out etc.
It was kind of an informal contest. The winner/participants all got trophies, and handshakes, pats on the back and the warm glow of winning/participating!
That is good. I know we have some very talented people here on FHC; I have seen the work they do; both in woodworking, metal working, stove projects, etc. I was just thinking that I hadn't seen any updates from the member that was building a house; just him and his wife, in the Georgia mountains.
