I have enough storage in the basement for nearly a chord if I choose to bring that much in. We normally bring in about a 1/4 or so and it sits in pallets in the basement directly in front of the furnace. I notice that it does work!!

Might as well, he only uses them to cut cookies and make videos, him a slacker.

Put a box fan that pulls warm air from the furnace to blow on the stack and in 24 hours you will see wood that did not have spider web crack all of a sudden have them a 1/4 wide.

I talked him out of the 461 MMWS, got it just after Christmas, and a few of his grind chain. That is a tree cutting monster.

I`ve been refusing to run his 461`s because I know what it will lead to. I have 2 460`s at the house (plus other saws) and am pretty sure they`re all I need in the 70cc range, other than the 2 372`s for the time being...

You might as well go on that ride of a slippery slope, I am currently sliding on. I could always use the company.

How to highlight a name? Simple, just use and @ in front of a name ("LodgedTree"). Like LodgedTree and it will show up highlighted and the named will get a notification of it too. The reason it did not show highlighted in the parenthesis is because I put it inside of quotes just to show you what it looks like. As you start typing the name, a pop-up will show and you can click on that to complete the name.

Thank you guys. I have missed a few posts because I was not quoted or highlighted so I wanted to know how so that others (in this case Rope) did not miss it.

LodgedTree are you admitting that you don’t read EVERY post in EVERY thread on FHC? Not sure if you are still qualified for full membership... the exception is if you were a little behind on reading due to actively hoarding firewood!!,:faint:

We get all of the needed medical help for our hoarding from this site. Didn't you notice the "MD" by each long term members name? Leading the pack is DR Scotty Overkill :rofl: :thumbs::hair::BrianK::pain:

    I try!!

For instance I thought no one cared about my Underground House thoughts, then I go back and look and there is a litany of responses. I am in no one blaming anyone here, but it happened that no one quoted or highlighted my name, so I was never notified.

90% of the time I use the notification feature.

I am not 100% faithful to FHC, I have been known to post on 3 other forums, but not as often.

    Simple pallet firewood rack
My semi permanent stacks that work like a shed.
I have two set up now, and plan on a bunch more this year.
Each pallet is about a third of a cord, and the pallets keep air flow around the stacks and the roof keeps all but the ends dry.
Once I stack the wood in them, it stays until it gets burned.
Of course I have a teenage son to haul the wood from the stacks to the sun porch, so Mrs rowerwet can get the wood in her slippers

You are probably notified, but if the notification happens and you don’t look at the thread right away, you won’t receive any more notifications for that particular thread..once you view the thread, the notification system is reset to tell you. that’s my understanding of how it works...

Sounds like this notification system was designed by my ex-wife then...no matter what goes down it is always my fault! :)

I am just teasing, but I understand now.
