The refractory chamber may be the deciding factor in rebuild or no. Its about 50o bucks with out a cat. Boo!
The back plate and inner backplate are about 300. Combustor 170. Bypass door 150. I haven’t located the housing yet but will guess it’s 200 or more. And gaskets cement and other odds and ends.

At that point, you are well on your way to a new stove.

Maybe part it out at this point? If you list the stove for parts in the classified section here, Google searches will lead potential customers here. Best of luck whichever way you go.

My thought too. Looks like it had a pretty rough life. Seems the big hunk of styrofoam is the weak point on this stove.
I think I’ll be looking for a stove with secconday burn. The cat stoves seem like too much to go wrong.

Too bad. Probably best to move on.

Don't let this experience completely turn you away from cat stoves. Some are very well designed & made. & they've improved alot over the last 20 years. That said im on year 6 or 7 with my tube style and still haven't had to do anything to it.

Junk it. If it's the cat version, it likely was subject to some crazy high Temps. We have a similar one, with tubes up north... It's a pretty stove but I would not say it's remarkable in terms of output
