Actually, I do have a very qualified helper who has been with me over a year now. She also has her CNA and cleaning dirty stoves is much easier than people! She has also helped with wiring the shop welder outlet and alarm wires and stained the shop windows. :)

and dont forget, that CNA will be nice to have when you go and cut yourself on some sharp metal edge and need someone to apply the superglue and duct tape to the wound!

    Thanks, I just added it.
I was just looking at the newer Miller 211 With advanced auto set and capability of aluminum welding which really seems to fit my needs. It is such a drastic change from the older Miller 210 which is quite a power house and built like a tank! Do you do any welding?

the lincoln 140 is a nice set up....i can switch between stainless and aluminum quick...flip a switch and plug the spool gun in.

Wow, you must do a lot of welding!
    I do not need a Gen/welder.
I want a welder for thin Guage steel and aluminum and maybe stainless steel but I hear SS can be tricky to weld. Would a Tig or a Mig work? I hear a Mig is easier to use.
With the 50 AMP 250 vac outlet and also a 20 amp 120 vac outlet The workshop should have any juice needed for it?

You are right, a spool gun is best for soft aluminum wire feeding! Thanks
It still may be best to get a 110/220 welder because in this person's opinion 220 maybe better for the properties of aluminum.
Lot's to learn, thanks for your help!
Also the 220 is higher amperage is good to have.

    Hello
After a slowing down for the summer, I got back on Working on the Workshop and we got the Phone & 1 Gigabit LAN jack in! Next will be the TV hookup for the Stove Training DVDs :)

Besides making the LAPTOP faster the Cat 5 Jack provides a network cable plug in right below the Workshop Lowe's Iris iPhone Video CAM so if power is lost to the Camera, it can be plugged into the LAN Jack for Reset instead of taking it down and bringing it into the basement for the hub plugin and reset!!!
