I think I cleaned mine back in February. Probably do it again soon so I can see the secondary flames.

Thanks i thought it was something like that cool air across the glass , Lopi stoves seams to be one of the better designs for clean burning

i only get secondary flames when i close off some of the primary air and then the glass gets scooted up and
if you open the primary full open and run a hot fire it clears up and easy to clean

Funny you mention that, I find myself just staring at the fire and rolling secondaries and not even paying attention to the TV.......

Why do you think it took our ancestor 200,000 years to get to our current point? They took way too much time sitting and watching "fire" and were entranced by it to bother to build roads, buildings, etc. etc., ad nauseum. When they finally found out you can actually bring fire INTO THE HOUSE, mankind began to advance.

Once I finally reached Nirvana; and CSSed my way way to 3 years ahead on wood, I only need clean the glass MAYBE on my 13NC about halfway thru the burning season...............and then when I shut the stove down for the warm months.

I've got a Lopi Freedom. Maybe the air wash does something (?), but it didn't keep light ash from building up on the glass. I don't have any complaints, but it doesn't do anything magic. I clean the dust off my glass once every day or two as time permits.
