Not up here. Not enough pipelines coming into the state so at peak demand, the prices go through thru the roof.

Gas is cheap here (for now), lots of fracking going on in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, no gas runs through where I live.

I told my customers all the time. What Is the logic? Ng is alot cheaper then electric. And running a central air all summer is painful enough why run it year round? . So lets get you a nice 95eff heating system and 15-19 seer a/c condenser and up size your evap coil a bit for around the same price give or take. Most efficent option They always went that route. And any customer who insisted on heat pump id normaly be there first bitter cold day running an operational check service call cause they assumed it wasnt working right. Operational always checked out fine. It just couldnt handle the load

    WOW !!

I am getting 2 ton of Crabbe tomorrow from Great Works Biofuel. 244/ton. Seems to be the best bang for buck that he has this year.

Dave is carrying Mr Warm's products and says that even at 365/ton he cannot keep up with demand for the Douglas Fir. . I would ask him to bring me a few bags but it might be like trying crack. :startled:

Today's ductless mini-split heat pump/AC technology is totally different than it was just a few years ago. Essentially the compressor runs backwards in heating mode (inverter). I have one of these systems in my Maine getaway place and it heats very efficiently and my electric bill isn't crazy at all.

My Pellet guy carried them last year and he had good results with them. I am going on his recommendation and he hasnt steered me wrong yet. As much as I liked the Corinth for shoulder pellets, he says that by last years performance, Crabbe will be better than those and around the same price.

If by chance I really dont like them, he would come get them and replace with another. Luckily having the P68, they would have to be really bad to not at least burn well.

Greene team in PA is selling the platinums for $160 a ton, I emailed the controller and told him Lowes is $315 a ton, he said I can have them delivered to me for $215 a ton. So why buy from Lowes unless you get a killer deal.

At $215 delivered I buy them. Lots of them. Yes they're ashy, or at least were, but they were always a hot pellet.

That tells me a lot about Lowes. To me, it is price gouging, to Lowes it is profit making. But the guy selling at $160 isn't giving them away so there has to be something going on with Lowes huge mark up.

Hmmm thats 375$a ton im not a mathematician or anything like that but seems 315$ for the ton at lowes would be the better deal. Or you could just go to BT or CT and buy some real pellets for significantly cheaper.

yea, me neither.....I have 7-8 different brands, and NONE- ZERO- ZIPPO- of them cost me anywhere near $160, if fact, all but one, none are less than $200/ton.......mind-boggling! The last time I saw prices like that, a few months later, folks were bemoaning the fact that the "dealer" was a crook............ :jaw:
