Branson4720 shared this on facebook so I thought I'd share it here for those that are in that area!! $229 for Cubex on sale from August 31st - September 5th 2016 Hamshaw Lumber Orange - Timeline | Facebook They also have NEWP's on sale for the same price. Hamshaw Lumber | Our Products Please feel free to post any sales you see worth mentioning!!
OMG - that is a great price for Cubex and I really enjoyed the 15 bags I bought off an individual last winter. What to do? What to do? Hey CleanFire check this out. want to go in halfsies on a ton?. If you could pick up, then I could come get it - could just squeeze it in the basement I think. Maybe your stove doesn't like hardwoods though?
This is definitely a killer price for an excellent hardwood. I have had very good luck with the last few year's batches. No fines, low ash and high heat. Hamshaw are also good people with excellent delivery pricing. This pricing might also be available at their Keene, NH store?
Ahh, nice of you to point out that that is their other store - will have to call the Keene store to see if they are following suit.
Those cubex are a great deal. Have to say though, with a few notable exceptions like this one, prices thus far this season have been largely disappointing. I'm not seeing any real sales to speak of. Early buy prices weren't very compelling, and as the months progress, prices continue to go up, which is "normal" I spose but not sure it's going to work out too well, on the heels of what happened last season, and with the market the way it is now. One of the local places just increased their prices $5 - $15 across the board today. Ouch.
Just spotted what I think is the first pellet delivery at HD. Looks to be about 3 truckloads worth. Don't think they're nasty NEWP's, as the bags aren't black or dark green.....these were white. Chow?? Haven't been there to catch the price.
Those are good stuff. If I was burning still, I'd be all over a combo of those.....at the right price.
Please keep in mind, T.... Just because you saw the BBS, and some smaller dealers who went out of business, or close to it do ridiculously low prices... that does not mean that the "cost" of pellets went down... Even if they went down a "little", the cost of small businesses doing business did not... That went up. And you know, we did get a little break on one brand, and we passed it along... Dan
I agree. Ton of chow was on my list this year for shoulder season. There nestled all snug In my stash now
Chow at HD last week was $259 in Poughkeepsie. Need a 10% off sale. My E2 will smoke those Chows. Doggy
that's for sure! ......there were some breaks in price for spring pellets, due to overstocking by wholesalers, producers, retailers.....but that has largely dried up. Lately, all we have seen are increases, which means, we increase our prices as well. Now all the good folks here tend to plan ahead, get set up well before it gets cold.....but the majority of pellet burners simply dont do that, and this year is no exception. We are out 7 weeks right now for deliveries......working on lessening that, but mathematically, that's how it works out. If you are buying now, or later, you're really not early....you're late to the table, and you get stuck eating the beets, because you're brothers and sisters already ate the lobster and crab.........
For a moment I thought it was an Ace store in CT and then realized it is in NH... Anything good for us around here?
BT sold out of the stuff he had on sale. CT has Blackstone for $239(never tried them). Member artc has some Blazers left at a decent price. But you might want to contact him. I don't think he delivers. A1 Pellet Sales | Products
we have delivery as well. it was with a third party delivery company last year, but we are geared up to do most of it this year.
