Got a good jump on the weekend dillies. Joey and I got all the gear out of the boat. Pulled the batteries and de-watered the live wells. Did some spot cleaning too. Tomorrow its get the winter cover on and tied down. Then start his putt-putt getting ready for winter stuff. Change the oil & filter and top off the fluids. Spark plugs should be changed as its close to 100K on the original plugs. Swap out the tires for the winter Artic Ice. Put on the winter blades, Lube the door hinges and silicon the seal area's as it always had issues with the doors sticking during a freeze. We'll see if we can squeeze in momma's truck maintenance too. Oil filter and lube. Already got new sneakers and just had the radiator flushed/new coolant. I'll likely silicon her door seals too. Do some tidying as the windshield is still cruddy. Maybe wash the floor mats if there's time. Give the buggy a quicky wash and clean the wheels(freakin break dust erks me!) and slick the tires. Sunday will likely be rearrange the shed and pull the sn*wblower out. Tinker with the carb and change the oil. Might do the genny too and give them a little run. Should just leave the leaves and gutters to do another weekend. Need more leaves to fall! My buggie only has 1500 miles so nothing to do just yet. But the last warm weekend I'll do an oil change no matter the miles. Or take it in and have them do it if it gets too cold?? Pooped just typing what needs to be done. Sure I missed something?? Is it spring yet?
Hows it running? I am on the original plugs at 148K. It amazes the heck out of me that it is running so well.
Fine, I'd leave them if I we still driving it. But momma's a worry wart. Its about the only other thing I could think of that might settle her nerves. I pulled them at 70K and decarboned them. Reset the gap and added fresh never sneaze to the threads. I read that some had carbon build up on them and whipped the threads out when you removed them. I got nervous, But they were not that bad. Its all highway miles since 25K. Changing the TB fixed all the stumblin, Hesitation issues. No wrench lite either and seems to be getting better fuel mileage as a bonus. Changin plugs and oil should get it back over 30 mpg in town.
See knew I forgot something! I got a helper and he's pretty quick at getting beer's too. You think a 12'er of Sammy Oktoberfest's will do? I better add beer to the parts list!!
