Drinking a Polar cranberry lime seltzer. Polar is New England company from Mass., I believe Worcester maybe.
Out of work and home, no fire with 60* out. Just cracked a Rolling Rock, I know, pics or it didn't happen. Trust me, it's happening.
Lit off the kicker stove in the basement and enjoying cup number 2 of coffee. Been up for 1 1/2 hours.
Cup two is now in play. wife is making me an egg/bagel sandwich that I will be dipping in some sriracha.
Akin to an addiction, I have developed a tolerance over time for hot foods and sauces. I need hotter and hotter to get the same effect now. I think the reinforcement of hot food comes from a release of endorphins from the intense nerve stimulation...aka pain.
Went to the local water hole last night and had a steady diet of some local ipa. Rolled in around 11:30. Have made better decisions...but I am out cutting wood this morning
Sriracha isn't "hot", IMO. I don't like catsup because it is way far too sweet and there must be some catsup or some of the same "sugar" in sriracha. <<goes off to read bottle ingredients>> yup, sugar is the second ingredient after chilis. Far too much sugar. Not surprising it was a craze for a while in a sugar addicted society.
Pabst blue ribbon baby.. oh yes. Wake me up at 12pm w a headache from hell. Lol! Kiddn.. maybe. But I do love the old jack n coke.
not a Wild Turkey fan, but I got this premium bottle as a gift. It’s does the job. Making a quick version of an Old Fashioned. A little sugar, spritz of bitters. Occasionally will add a cherry if it’s available.
While scrounging for some crackers to go with my pickled pike I found the E & J brandy bottle from Christmas. Mixed up 3 tumblers of it with a splash of 7up while enjoying the fire in the hearth with a snowstorm going outside. My German wife opted for an IPA. She was up at 3:30 AM so is now sleeping comfortably on the couch. I won't be long till the land o nod myself.
Hard to come by these days... couldnt let this one pass. Regarding Wild Turkey, i can recommend Wild Turkey Rare Breed .
