2x3' wood pass through from outside pile into wood room. Have another pass through that goes from shed into wood room. Cant get a pic as its stacked over on shed and inside wall side also. Nothing fancy but it works well. I built this part off the house with the idea of making wood burning/handling easy for me down the road when I'm older.Glad I did it this way instead of trying to build around existing furnace/structure after the fact.
Have a sheet of plywood with some 8" think scrounged styrofoam insulation glued to it that fits snug into pass through. Sacrificial hemlock 2x4 nailed to sill so it don't get beat up.

Where did you get the 16" PVC Dave? That's not something Home Depot would have lying around....

    Construction material. It's 1/2" wall .
Contractor was working on the local road & I saw a 5' piece in his PU , he'd cut off of a culvert from another job.
BS'd , worked a trade for some fresh garden / greenhouse veggies. :)

Not sure where to buy it, Road/ Pipeline Construction suppliers ?

Make sure you're sitting when you check out the price. Big PVC is $$$. (Quick check shows 16" schedule 40 PVC @ $45/ft) :jaw:

Very cool. At my dad's we had an old piece of sheet metal duct that would fit perfect in the basement window. We'd send down about 4 cord into the basement every fall.

Building a entry door from scratch isn't a major undertaking.
