I've got a list of about 20 ankle biter projects that I need to get done before I can do some bigger projects. Today's project was the truck. A couple weeks ago I turned it off and pulled the key out and the ignition cylinder lock came apart...the tumblers came out with the key. Wasn't a hard fix, but I've definitely had more fun before. Tomorrow's project is fixing a leaking hydrant in the yard. This one is going to require digging (plumbing underground, the worst kind of plumbing). After that I need to replace some motor mounts on the beater car. The list goes on and on.
Mainly a woodworking and woodcutting shop, and a place for most any other jobs that are not suitable for in the house such as staining trim etc. I started building it before she decided to move in, but she will of course be welcome to use it. I'll also make a little space for her to entertain a couple of her other hobbies such as glass etching. That may or may result in an extension being built yet
Happy belated birthday WeldrDave !!! Flurries here today, near 50° tomorrow. A little snow possibly Thursday night and again either rain or snow this weekend. It's a shirt term thing and it's getting warmer. Grass is greening up, bulbs are coming up. Rose bushes are starting to show signs of life
I plowed the driveway yesterday without putting the skid shoes on the blade. I was careful not to let the blade float on the surface; instead, I only skimmed the snow along the driveway so when it melted, it would become another muddy mess of gravel. Well, I bottomed the plow out more times than I care to admit and it looks like this yooper will be getting the garden rake out to try and move some of the driveway back into place!
Got my underground plumbing done. Dug the hole last night and made the repair this morning. Water eroded out a brass barb fitting on one side of a T. Never seen that one before. I'm going to let this sit for a few days before I backfill it just to make sure everything looks good.
My son and I saw this last night on the way home from lacrosse practice. On the way she crossed in front of me and I couldn't get a pic. Coming home we s aw a white form out in the field. Got lucky and she got closer to the road.
Piebald whitetail. One spot where I worked a few years back had three albino deer (all white) and they usually hung out together. Another spot had a nice albino buck 8 or 10 point, not stunted at all. Nice specimen.
