When I'm in the woods, I always lose something. No matter how hard I try, something disappears. I paint my hammer handles pink, use bright wedges, etc, and the stuff grows legs. Here is my list just off the top of my head: 25" logging chain-even with a metal detector, couldn't find it. wedges hammers files bar nuts gloves caps to gas and oil cans screw that hold the batteries in my 3m worktunes ear pro t handle saw tools smokes lighters Hatchets (used at the splitter only and still grow legs. Its now cabled TO the splitter) So nowadays, I keep spares to all the above in a separate box that doesn't leave the truck. EVER. I once lost a game cam I put out after a few too many beers had been consumed. Found it the next year after I had completely written it off as gone forever. Not really wood related, but I still laugh about that one. Anyone else want to share their experiences or am I just a dimwit?

love your sense of humor! I still missing a logging chain.. but most of my stuff gets lost in garage. When I can't find it I buy more and it shows back up.
I now have 2 slider chop saws, 3 skilsaws, 2 random orbit sanders, 2 drill presses, only one partridge in a pear tree, and other assorted stuff, so yeah. Still haven't figured out how I displaced that first chopsaw though.

I lost myself in the woods one time . Lost some blood , dang skeeters Lost my X7 , bought a new one Lost Gloves , and while splittin n stackin I loose my gloves almost every time I take em off eventually I find em Lost a lot of time, lookin for stuff
Over the years probably have lost more than I remember. But I'm still looking for that one log chain that came up missing a couple years ago. Once lost a cant hook but found it being used by....someone else. Happened again but that time I found out who had it but they had moved on so it remains theirs. Lost a couple gas cans once when I left them in a woods as we pulled out. Farmer claimed them and anything else that got left behind. Like others I've lost weight. Lost time. Dang near lost the atv in a mud hole once. Who knows what else?
