Warner’s right, herring. About 12" spawners. A hoot when they ladder up the jig and you pull in 6 or 8 at a time. Took Mom out and she got almost 300 of the buggers over couple days. Smoked, canned and bait for the year.

Finally ripped out these old wall heaters. Been on my to do list for the last 5 years. In the process of remodeling the house and hopefully have it rented by June.

They just built that road. It was supposed to be a 4 lane project...instead they just rerouted the road for about 1/4 of the way. Hwy 56 between Smithville and McMinnville TN. Total waste of money as it bypassed literally nothing except a large cemetery.

I call them horse herring. Excellent live for ling cod or cured for Columbia river salmon bait. Not to mention halibut. You are right about it being a hoot! Specially for kids! :D

wroong coast, but they could be juvenile herrring, sivversides or ppeanuts around here. Dunno the right names for silversides and peanuts. They're guite common around the docks. Sometimes att sunrise you'll see them popping out of the water as they are preyed on.

Just sayin, peanut bunker are the best bait. Siliversides jumping out of the water indicate BIG fish are pushing them to the surface, birds like Nat.Geo. Around them, Game on!

My wife made shepherds pie. I could eat that chit until my belly hurts. Ground lamb, peas, carrots, onions, rosemary and mashed potatoes on top. Probably forgot some ingredients. Really good stuff on a cold day, or any day at all.

You are basically right. We add our own gate valve, pressure gauge, elbow and reducer to the standpipe system on high rise building fires.
