My stove came on for a bit tonight. She'll see duty for at least another month-ish. Just cutting the chill out is about all that will be needed. I'll count bags for the April tally in a bit.
Unless I forgot about some pellets brought in from the garage, I've burned a total of 262 bags this season (still at least another month to go). If I go by bags left in the basement, it shows 260 but neither hopper is full and I've always counted with full hoppers, so I added 2 bags to the total Shockingly, that means I've only burned 9 bags in April. It did warm up quite nicely there after the April Fools Snow storm (15-17"). And I've gone down to using just one stove, but I still thought I used more than what the numbers show.
Did pretty well for April. 12 bags total. 10 FSU and 2 Still River's. I'm assuming May should be less. Looks like I only need 75-ish to top off for next year. But likely hold out til the last minute. I'll stuff in more if a deal happens.
16 for April - all Satisfaction brand pellets. Still burning.. Will be burning into June.. Still chilly at night. Stove re-tuned to 1.0, 1.2, 1.6, 1.8, 2.0 lb/hr settings. Using level 3 (1.6) to take the chill off: then levels 2 or 1 (1.2/1.0) as needed. Stove is off/on several times a day now - solar gain is getting better these days.. When it's not raining. 207 season total so far.
5-6 bags burned in April, mostly early in the month around the time of the whine storm. At this point very little burning but still not time to close up shop yet. Burned for a few hours last evening and next week looks like some drying/take the chill out burns might be needed.
looks like bag # 80 or 81...i gotta check will be going in tonite.....so much to choose from!!!!! think im gonna try lacrete.....35° all summer long works for me!!!..........polar vortex comin soon!
