My snowblower and back blade are still on. We are suppose to get 4-6 fri. But I'm leaving for Florida Friday morning. I'm sure I won't be lucky enough to beat the snow out of here.

May get a bit of snow today, but maybe not. They are still looking at the data for Fri-Sat storm and aren't putting any guesses for snow totals out yet.

Late March can for certainly see snow....

We have had measurable snow in April a few times......Don't last......but it turned the ground white and the roads slick for a while.

Monday/Tuesday we did our last two shell runs for the 23/24 season ....
The plant was running a small sized variant of Hazelnut ....I jump at the chance of getting these shells....
We get a full barrel ++ more than wit the standard size nuts due to the smaller size....

But the main thing is that we got two runs in with excellent weather ...70's F both days.

Total for the season at 6 loads ......18 cubic yards total.....
    We are nearly full up.....
We will finish the season and be in good shape for the fall shoulder season to start.

We got clobbered by a big (I think they called it a blizzard) snow storm in April while Mil was visiting for a birthday, not mine, not daughter's, grand children's'. Fil could get nowhere either some 135 miles south west of us. Now when I got'em up from my nap i saw were it had rained a bit. No sn*w in the forecast until the wee smalls tomorrow morning then just showers this week end looks like 3 to 6'' possible maybe like, this bear will play listen to the radio and maybe talk some breaker 19 anybody got their ears on.

This time last year still had a bunch of snow on the ground from the 30+" we had gotten the previous week courtesy of a Nor'easter.

Got a bit of snow overnight. They are starting to firm up that I will be getting more snow on Saturday instead of a mix. But, if the storm track moves one way about 25 miles, then that could always change back to getting a mix. And then it could still be the difference between being in the valley versus being in the hills.

11pm last night was nothing but a slight coating after front went thru. Must have had more squalls overnight-now about 3-4" on front stairs.

It's 28* and feels like 14 with the wind today. But just saw the first robin on the year so I guess it is spring.

Got a couple of inches overnight. Sun is out, very bright reflection off the new snow. Up in the county, they are having a white out blizzard. Our conditions and those in the county are always much different. Our weather is strongly influenced by the ocean.

On April 6-7, 1982, much of Maine received over a foot of snow from a major nor'easter. This storm remains the biggest April snow event on record for Portland.

'memer This i was installing vsam updates in Bangor sky was green.

Yeah, I heard the 2 trucks go by and saw the flashing lights around 4am. Thought it sounded like the plow blades were down but said, nah they just salting.

Got up at 4:45 am and..... WRONG

BUT didn't touch any of it before work and as of 5:30pm when I got home from work 95% is gone even with the cold and wind. Love this time of year in that respect.

We are forecasted to get a mix of rain snow ice.
with that comes power outages. I tried to get a standby generator installed last fall but the contractor failed to do it. Had a hell of a time getting my deposit back. Now have a new contract with a company with a known track record. That installation is scheduled for July.
