I just finished building my parts bins shelf and drawers. The 2*4's are from pallet runners and almost all of the particle board came on top of the pallets at work. ( not saying what was on them ) but it was heavy.... There isn't anything that I found to fit my needs and as usual I like to repurpose stuff so this was today's project. I put 35 small drawers and 6 large the tubes are leftovers from work that I put in to hold rebar and long
All right Looks good Pete, free materials Now you can get rid of the coffee cans and such I stumbled on some steel parts cabinets that came from a military base and got em dirt cheep
Bro I looked everywhere I even tried the Stihl boxes MM recommended but nothing fit right for me…. Now I have about 35 sandwich meat containers to get rid of. Unfortunately it won't happen I will have to find another use due to my inability to dispose of things that can be used still.
I keep telling myself I probably don't need that good sized box of smallish steel pieces but , it's still here, along with all the other stuff I might use someday
What did you use to fasten the corner joints of the OSB? I don't even want to ask how long it took to cut all those pieces!
I'm sure Pete is just short of writing a book on how to repurpose pallets 101 different ways. I like the bins idea very much, great idea PP
They are glued and nailed with an air nailer. It took about 15 minutes using the saws at work to cut all the pieces for the boxes. The assembly took forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and I did a drop test at 6' and they didn't break so I then stood on one and it didn't break. It's amazing how strong wood glue and osb can be. Well considering that's what it is anyway particles glued together.
Ha I might do that for the garage by the door... I have shoes for the garage in the garage and a jacket...
