"Six Million Dollar Man" tv show. . And for you young wipper snappers, this is a lunchbox that you carried to school with you, inside was lunch your Mom made for you. If your "mug" made it on to a lunchbox, you were a star.
I ended up picking up a 4 wheel steel cart/trailer, at auction in June. Not sure what company made it? But it's pretty heavy duty. I like it a lot more then the plastic one I got from home depot, that I returned. I'll try and get a few more pictures of it. Here is a cruddy cell phone picture taken as sun was going down....
Oh ha, same color scheme!! It use to have a roll bar on it like that too. Double chrome bar. Holes are still in the bed from it!
I instantly relate that paint scheme to this show!! Good stuff! Right there with Airwolf, The A Team, and Dukes of Hazzard!
I watched some A team, but think it could o been in reruns years ago. I love the Dukes and watched it all when I was in highschool 20 years ago when it was on in reruns
Sorry if you thought I was bustin on ya or something. As soon as I saw the corner of that bed, I was like "awesome, he's got the truck from Fall Guy!". Didn't realize that you may not get the reference.
Nah I didn't know what you were talking about. At first I thought maybe you thought I was a guy around your town or something??? Had no idea? Strange I have never heard of the fall guy, I will have to Google how many seasons it had? I have heard of most of the big shows from that era, even grew up with them in rerun.
No helmets. Lap belts only. Each guy has a ice cold Olympia between his legs. Stunt work at its classic best! Great era for TV.
However, I was more of a Matt Houston guy. I am a Ford guy anyway. We had an 80 Bronco nearly like this one. This is from the 1980 Ford Bronco catalog. Exactly our truck. Heck, it might be actually our bronco. We bought it new in 1979 as a 80 model.
I had kinda forgotten about The Fall Guy...I never missed an episode of the Dukes though...ole Roscoe P. Coltrain! And Flash...
I have thought about these buggies for other than concrete use. Basically a beasty motorized wheelbarrow. I would think the cost of one would be prohibitive though.
They've made 'em for years though...you can find old ones at auctions/CL reasonable sometimes. I have one called a Prime Mover. I has the dumper tub deleted and an optional forklift mast on it...good for about 1000#...handier than a shirt pocket it is! I got this from my dad, he had it converted from a "rear stander" to a "mid sitter" More pics of it here if ya want 'em... My firewood storage and handling system...
