    Hey all!
So I saw a style of cast iron pan that was used on a tv show I watched and looked just simple to use. Its a pan that is more shaped like a bowl without high sides. Flat bottomed base and the handle doesn't come out straight but rather arched up for stove use. Here's what I could find as close as I can in a search but this one looks too flat on the cook surface.

Noting that this didn't look like a seasoned pan but hoping the contrast helps looking at it from a depth perspective and wondering if this has a specific name to go with it.

I finally found one but its just still called simply a griddle but I thought it would have a more specific name in terms of a search. Little bit much for my wallet too...

So a comal and round griddle are two different things? Are the sides a little higher on a comal?

No not sure if they are exactly two different things but designwuse they might just differ in the lip along the outside of the cooking surface. I am trying to be paying attention to the way how a comal has like a thicker border where mine comes up sharply. Its functionality for cooking food that is flat foods but I liked the charm the old one has.

FatBoy85 Interesting thread. I have a cast griddle that looks a lot like the one in your picture and you have made me curious. I'll have to go dig around in the camp gear and check it out .

Yes sir a finished bottle I thought I’d have use for but the whiskey was damm good. A sparingly bottle. The kind you love to sip at the glass.

Yes I liked this piece because it creates a bowl like shape so if you make some kind of gravy or something with a sauce it stays in the middle, crisps the outside. Something you’d want in the makings of cinnamon rolls. Enough said.
