Had to move some wood out of the barn as need to do repairs on it because of wind damage. moving it here into the boiler house for next years heat. 7 loads made just over 9 cord. The mighty 1/2 ton survives again.
I got your loading technique figgrd out Kevin, load it until the tailgate is at the door threshold height.
Is that a fir? What's with all the Forest Service blue paint on it? Is that their marks showing that it's allowed to be bucked into far wood , so that if someone stops you they CAn see the whole tree was marked?
It was marked 'DO NOT CUT' and then that was crossed out... and yes, it is a Douglas Fir. It's actually pretty decent firewood around here.
Anything to save fuel from extra trips, environment is the main concern.... My suspension is called frame flex and air pressure in the tires!

Not a full load Just the quads I took to the PA GTG... This was yesterday... I wish I would have snapped the pic with the cinder blocks on the trailer. Had about 60 blocks (58??) and 2 yards of top soil on the trailer.
You must be slacking Dex. I see dandelions in your yard!!! Just messing with you, your place is beautiful. I love seeing pics of it.
