Me and the misses put this together the last couple days It's 8' wide X 5' high. Can anyone do the math and tell me how much woods in there?
8' x 8' = 64 x .785 (to find the area of the circle) = 50.24 sq ft 50.24 x 5' (height) = 251.2 CF...so about 2 cords (128 sq ft per cord) EDIT: probably a bit less because of the inherent extra air space built in to a HH compared to a traditional stack... Good looking HH there Todd!
Thanks for the math, I was kinda thinking about 2 cords just by a rough measurement of my stacked rounds. It's a mix of Black Locust, Red Maple and Black Walnut. 3 years ahead now.
Around here old timers had a piece of Sharp Cheese with their apple pie. I’m not sure many people do it much anymore. They used to say “Pie without cheese is like a hug without a squeeze”
