So we have ~ 7 cords, mostly white ash and a smattering of other usable species. That's counting uglies though.

Don't discount the uglies....I like uglies....they keep you warm at night even though you don't typically tell your friends about them.
Wait, are we still talking about firewood???

Well ladies and gents, this post has only been up for 3 days but I thought I'd tally up the firewood count of FHC members thus far.

There are probably those who haven't been on the website or provided their "vote", but I thought it'd be interesting to see how many cords we have as a group. I took the average of the each of the categories (i.e. social hoarder = 2 cords, wood-a-holic = 4.5 cords, etc.). There was no way to average the Cordwood Corleone, so I used 45 cords to represent this group.

The results after 3 days are 67 votes for 803 cords (average 11.9 cords per vote)

Perhaps these numbers will continue to grow as more people place their votes and as we all continue to add to our stacks. I think we can all agree the numbers would be at their highest in the fall. Please remember to come back and change your vote as your hoarding continues.

Well if the typical or average by stats hoarder has between 4.5 and 12.5 cords I guess I'm comfortably right in the middle of the madness. About as far away from the lunatic fringe as one can be. :)

I have 5 cord ready to go for this year and 1 towards next years heat:). 5 maple and 1 Spruce/birch. Might buy an extra dry cord for this year as they are predicting a cold/snowy winter. Just ran out of time last year for cutting. Hope this is the last time I have to do that:). Putting the push on this year to get 2 years ahead by next Fall.
