Season opens in 2 weeks and I was going through all my gear. My grunt tube is MIA. Not a big loss...never really liked how it sounded anyway...especially one handed.

Would like one I can bleat with too.

    Anyone got a favorite?

mouthpiece (reed diaphram thing) with a home made tube? (2" corrugated/flex irrigation tubing). Sewed a realtree fleece sleeve for it.

I don't use one much either, but rarely turns into never when you lose your call.

I have several different grunt tubes and have very little success with any of them. Where I hunt, I have had much better success with doe bleat cans and calls. Going with a grunt tube that includes a bleat is a good idea IMHO.

I have the Primos Up Roar that includes the doe bleat and snort wheeze tubes and it's ok. I like that it is a fixed length tube and O-ring tone changer.

I have a really old one that I got from a cousin. Not even sure of the brand. I think it came for free when he subscribed to buckmasters. I would put this thing in the era of the late 80s to very early 90s. I have used it with much success. Old works well blown soft. I bought one called the exicutioner same company that makes black rack rattling horns. I saw it on a tv show and is the number 1 seller on amazon so I figured I tried it. Songs great even blown loud. Is easily changeble. From deep buck grunt to a fawn bleat.

The extinguisher is good, however keep in mind some deer dont just ignore calls, they actually steer clear..

I hunt almlst every day from Sept 5th until Jan 31st... If they arent literally chasing I never pick it up.
