I probably should be out shoving snow around but I may just wait until it melts. We're supposed to get into 50's by Monday.

Morning all. Heavy overcast/fog this morning with everything being soaked. Sun is supposed to come out sometime today. Busy day yesterday but I managed to get down into the garden for a bit. One of our red cedar retaining walls has a section that needs replacing. It only has been 40 years since they were put in so I guess it is time.

James and John had a bright idea. They wanted to be next in command when Jesus set up his kingdom. Mom got into the act and approached Jesus with her request for her two sons. Jesus was sad and the rest of the disciples were upset. Taking them to a quiet place, Jesus sat them down and explained that his kingdom was not of this world and was not like this world's kingdoms. Jesus didn't come to be like an earthly king. Jesus came to serve others, heal others, mend broken hearts, and forgive others, freeing them from their sins. Serving others was his Father's will and He wanted to do his Father's will.

Putting others ahead of yourself and walking the Jesus way is not easy and there will be times when the hurt, ridicule, and trouble will be too much for you. Focus on Jesus and what he did for you on the cross. He will give you all the strength you will need to continue to walk the humble path.

43 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10: 43 - 45

    Happy Sabbath, everyone

Good morning everyone! We got about 9 inches of snow. Not the foot plus that was predicted. I knew the meteorologists had gotten over zealous.

    Good morning, members.

An ok wintry day ahead. 25⁰/40⁰ breezy sun/clouds

We got close to 3 inches of rain, over the past 24 hrs. Lots of area streams at flood levels. 3Hrs north got 2 feet+ of snow. Ski country is loving it.

I'll be bringing wood to the deck, while surveying the yard.

    Good morning y'all.

    41/63 clouds and sun.

    Resting today.

Yesterday we cut a couple oak orders in the am, then I started on the pine logs that are needing cut before the bugs get em.

    Y'all have a blessed day!

It snowed hard late afternoon, early evening. Looks like we got up to 4 inches of snow. We may get rain overnight, too.

    Good morning, members.

    Decent, dry day ahead. 30⁰/40⁰

Being a nice day and that I have some empty woodracks, I'll take the opportunity to make some adjustments in the woodyard. Where there's 5 racks, I'll be able to have 6.

A few weeks ago, at a regular screening, it was determined that there's a basal cell on the inner ridge of my ear. It's something that wasn't bothering me. This afternoon, I'll undergo Mohs surgery to remove it. This'll be a first for me.

Please don't miss any scheduled screenings!

    Good morning everyone.

I have a day off today. The plan is to work on insulating the 2nd floor room above the garage. It's a real PITA. Each batt needs cut either narrower, or at an angle, or 2 angles. Then maybe I'll head to a place that sells reclaimed barn material and posts. Trying to figure out how to finish the room for a rustic, warm feel, without having too much going on. My wife would like a paneled ceiling and shiplap walls. Im not sure if I'm sold on that. Im thinking of white shiplap the ceiling and hang barnwood vertically.

    Have a great day everyone.

Rough morning with bad headache. Finally got it at least partially under control. I hate it when a day starts this way.
