Members that come here have to look at this place as being a real bricks and mortar type of place, like the local Firewood and Hearth Store where people come in, plop down on blocks of firewood around the old wood burning stove and chat. Maybe people are retired and have nothing to do but feel accepted and sit down with coffee cup in hand and chat a long time, or maybe it is a guy with a big family just stopping by to grab some bags of pellets, or a person who needs advice on a rare chainsaw purchase and never joins in the conversation (lurkers). Perhaps the old wood burner has lots of land, or maybe the guy that burns the most out of the bunch has very little and is always hoping to get a free score from Craigs List or the Power Company. Some just like the ambiance of a wood burning stove to drive the chill off, where as others in an old drafty farmhouse may depend on the heat. It is all okay, because while we might be at computer terminals around the states, in different countries, or even on the other side of the world, just because we might not "know" each other, does not mean we are not real people and care. I say all this just for perspective, because when people realize real people are behind the written words and pictures, the forum becomes more real, just like a real Firewood and Hearth Store for people in the community to gather around.
