Just bought one today. I quit smoking in the fall and drifted back to them in April. I really don't want to smoke them anymore, so I switched to the e-cig. I'm running a low nicotine juice to start, but will be buying non nicotine the next time. From what I read, if there's no nicotine, then you really have no health risks. Any opinions? Anyone try these to quit?
This is a very much debated topic worth seriously researching. The current claim last I'd read was they are worse in the long run because it's chemical not water vapor. That could of course depend on the brand I'm sure. I'll google and see if I can find the report! It was done by a couple separate university's.

I have cut down from two packs a day to a half a pack a day using a good quality e-cigarette. There is a lot of misinformation about the PG and VG used in the, e juice, but it is a whole lot better for you than cigarettes. PG and VG are FDA approved (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin) Just don't buy e juice made in China I suggest you go to the e-cigarette forum, do your homework and keep on vaping
I make my own cigarettes cost me a buck a pack, and just because the sign says no smoking it does not nessaceraley maen e cigs also I have vaped in many public places and never had a anyone say anything I am not going to debate this because of so much misinformation, and if you have not tried it or done your homework on it you are probably misinformed, DONE
I will add one thing here, in the house out and about e-cigarette work OK, outside processing wood or other outdoor work , e cigs don't work as well,
I have noticed a lot of people puffing on them. At first I thought they were quitting all together but they have been doing it for a year now. I would have thought they would have quit by now.
Well, I need to quit eventually here. You guys with experience with e ciggs, what is a good choice in brands that are healthy and won't break the bank. I wouldn't mind a healthy alternative to smoking, even if I don't quit right away.
When you WANT to quit, you'll quit If the e-cig helps you quit...fine...whatever it takes...just quit...
I smoked for about 20 years then one day quit cold turkey. I agree when your ready you will e cigs or not.
This E Cig is like a crack pipe. I'm constantly puffing on it. At least it's cheap and doesn't make you smell. I read the article posted above. Pretty technical, but it seems like it's not too bad for you unless you get the wrong liquid.
yeah you never know what they're going to put in anything stuff from China ask before you buy whether it is made in China or not. There is a very small percentage of people that are allergic to PG or VG, other than that it should be all good
Ive gotten two of the disposable ones to see what its all about and I honestly dont see how I could quit with one. I will be at work and puff on it for thirty minutes then go outside and have a cigarette. I have a hard time judging when Ive puffed the amount of a real cigarette. Im going to try it a little more but maybe its time to just quit cold turkey and be completely done with it altogether.I would like to see an e cig that has a timer in it that will cut it off for a bit after youve had the equivalent of a cigarette.
there's no way you're going to be able to quit with a disposable they are a joke, you need an ego twist or something like that with enough power to give you a good hit and satisfaction. For about 40 bucks you can get you a good battery and atomizer, lots of good kits out there by online or go to a local brick and mortar store
I can't argue for either side, and if I was to I would be opposed to anything going in my lungs, cigarette, ecig, whatever.... Whats funny is when times get tough and folks that are addicted to smokes get jammed up with making financial choices, what stays, what to give up. Cigarettes are always on the stay list, the kids day care gets chopped.
although quitting cigarettes completely is the best thing I cut my own firewood I can sure make my own cigarettes and I've saved hundreds of dollars
I cut my own firewood as well. I have saved probably thousands of dollars cutting and burning, most of us here have. But to say you have saved money on making your own cigarettes is not what it's all about. Stopping and saving money for the right reasons would get kudos. Raybonz gets kudos for recently quitting
