So what's your best 1 saw, 2 saw, 3, saw plan regardless off price?

    I'll start:
    1 saw plan:
Either Stihl 261 or 362, more likely 362 so I can get the big rounds

    2 saw plan:
Stihl 261 and 461, no doubt

    3 saw:
    Stihl 261, 362, and 661 (only because I can't imagine pulling an 880)

    What's your plan?

I can't pin down a plan like this unless I know what I'm planning for.

MS200: light, nimble and surprisingly capable.
026: just the right size, more often than not.
    044: Now that's a chainsaw.
MS660: because once in a while a tree needs to become boards instead of firewood.

    I have a 362 with an 16" bar/chain, a 461 with a 20" bar/chain and a 661 with a 25"bar/chain all 3/8 .50, plus I have a spare 28"bar/chain for the biggest I want to cut.

I kinda wish i would have got the 555 instead of the 550. A 555 and like a 7900 or 461 would be a great 2 saw show where i cut.

1 saw - 60 cc. Not sure if I'd go Husky, Stihl, or Dolmar.
2 saw - 50 cc and 70 cc. Although I went 50 cc and 80 cc because it's hard to be the price of those Home Depot Makitas and a p/c replacement!
    3 saw - 40 cc, 60 cc, and 80 cc. I'd LOVE to have a 543xp or MS241, but it'd be silly seeing as how I already have a 550xp.

I do want an efco 181 in the johndeere colors no not the latest or greatest, i just think its cool looking. An 80cc saw and and like a little limber like a 543xp could be a killer kombo if you were cutting big trees.

Wow so many great saws I would love to have.
1 saw: would no doubt be a dolmar 6100

2 saw: something small like a Stihl 201 rear handle, echo 361p, stihl 241. I have the Dolmar 421 it is a really good saw to have and picked it over the husqvarna 543xp. And the Dolmar 6100

3 saw: small saw something from above. Dolmar 6100 and probably a 661 or 395 but a 7900 would be awesome other then I would watch it to pull some milling duties.
I currently have the 421, 6100, and a 395 basket case that is going to get stuffed with banana's

I've heated with wood since '92. I only had one saw until 12 yrs ago since I mostly cut tops, blow downs and culls. I bought the 026 the year before, in '91. It was stolen when I was building my new home in 97 so I replaced it with a Husky 55 since it was on sale at the time. I bought my 028 Super for a steal ($50) in 2006 and used those saws with an 18" and 16" bar, respectively, for 95% of my wood gathering (occasionally I had my cousin cut some bigger stuff) until 2009.

I bought my 361 that year when I was starting to get into some bigger stuff. I picked up a 391 in 2011 off CL for when my brothers were around and wanted to help.

Now that I am getting treelawn trees from a local village and some huge oak from a tree service with whom I trade turkey hunting, I am looking at something like a 660. For as much as I'd use the big saw, I'd like to find a blown topend and throw a Meteor topend on. Not having much luck with that however.

Also, I bought 2 362's and 2 192T's recently as something for my boys and I to piddle with. I plan on ditching the 391, one of the 362's and if both 192T's run, selling off one of them.

That would leave me with the Husky 55, 028, 361, 362 and a 192T. I can see a huge benefit to having a top handle saw when cutting some of the tops we're in now. I'm leaving smaller diameter stuff because there is so much big stuff and the little stuff is a royal pain. Having my oldest running a saw is going to be nice and that's the reason for the dupe in the two classes. If the 660 comes to be, I think I'll be set. So technically I have a 4 saw plan.

I can handle the big stuff, splitting it with a vertical splitter and FEL with either forks or a log tong hanging off the bucket. Big stuff seems to be readily available since most people won't deal with it. Of course this requires two people with my current setup, regardless of my saw plan.

One- either a 261 or a 362 depending on your cutting- logs or tops.
    Two-261 and a 461-that's what I have, except my 50 cc is a 260.
Three- same as above with the 3 rd being a specially saw, for me it would be a top handle for yard cleanup.
