Dr. cleared me to ditch the CAM boot last week, so, I spent the weekend clearing out a particularly nasty and overgrown spot in the woods. This ivolved cutting down a bunch scrappy 1-4" trees/ bushes, a 6" soft maple, a 6" cherry and a dead 16" oak, plus removing a ton of vines and other invasive junk. Maple and cherry will go on the wood pile. Unfortunately the oak was too far gone.

Welcome back. No such thing as too far gone if you are able to top cover. Comes down to personal preference. Now off the computer and back to work!!!! ;)

Time to shop for new boots. I'll need stiffer soles to protect my feet.

You raise goats right? You ever use them to clear out undergrowth in the forest? I've heard of a few places doing that...a "green" way to landscape larger areas.

Sheep. They do browse, but not a thoroughly as needed for real significant clearing. Kubota tractor .

Glad you're back to doing what we love to do Mike, send more pics of your progress. And go slow at first and warm up to the task, we don't want no re-injuries.
