My bro had their first run of 15 shot shotgun. If same one I didnt like. Cant remember. He went from one 15 shot to another. 2nd style was best. So not sure. But one of them was first few out. Also some new gun serial #3.
It was 2003-2004, if I remember correctly. I followed the development of the p3at from its inception and ordered one as soon as they came out. Mine was #42.
Yup, my bad. I know Kel-Tec is still around, just thought that particular pistol wasn't in production. I remember when they came out, but that was many moons ago. Always looked like a large grip profile, not for me.
I want to try it and its 30rd mags. I still on the fence of it being sold for conceal carry purse etc. 30 rds or not. Police couldnt stop jacked up meth heads with 9mm and 15 shots, so .22 mag and 30 rds I just dont see it. They went bigger for stopping power. Plinker yes cool, protection I just dont think so. JMO
I didnt realize a 22 mag pistol was designed to be a carry pistol. Unless it was a derringer backup I would care if you have 30 of them. Your shooting out of a 3" barrel so your not even making the rounds full power!
My dad tried my little bros pmr30 out and said new he dont think a women could jack the 1st round in in a emer. Thought you would have to keep 1 in the chamber ready to go for them.
I keep one in the chamber on my taurus 380. But it has a DA trigger and is striker fired so you have to PULL the trigger to make it go off.
There is a lot greater wound chanel and shock/knock down energy behind each one of my peas. And most encounters are probably withing 20 feet or so. Somebody if you dont stop them in the first few shots will be all over them before they can dump the other 24 rounds. Least thats the way I see it.
Thought there was a plinker thread, but I couldnt find it. Great day yesterday with the plinkers and my son home from college. Just using the S&W A22 with red dot, S&W 422 open sites. H&R 926 ( I think ) 9 shot revolver for tie breakers if ties after shooting other guns. Only had to shoot the H&R 12 times 6 by each of us to settle ties.
Sounds like a fun time! Me and a buddy get together from time to time, he's got a 40 yard range in his back yard. We set up 20 ga shotgun shells and take turns with open sights, seeing who can knock over the most. It really gets you ready for hunting season!
Good idea on shotgun shells. Never thought of that reuse. Need to see if the bucket is still full from the clay shooting. Thanks for idea.
I shoot shotgun shells too. At the forest service range there all over and I just bounce them around. The 22 pistol is real easy to hit them out to say 30 yds
We try to get creative with shooting. Another favorite is toothpicks and getting just far enough away that we can barely see them to break them in half. Or trying to bust the plastic off of thumbtacks but leave the steel center-pin. We've been known the tack penny's up too and see who can get the best "headshot". Nothing against Lincoln, it's just a cheap target that's the right size.
My dad used to set a axe up and shoot round lead ball through his .50 cal muzzle loader OPEN sites and split the ball and break 2 clays, 1 either side of axe. I got bowling pins for .38 up pistol shooting fun too. Plus homemade spinners etc.
