Saws n Stuff

Are you cutting with the top of the bar in this pic? It never occurred to me to try it this way. That side of the bar is the one that gets oiled - do you find the chain stays oiled better that way?

I'll cut on whatever side there's the most room for the rear handle & my wide azz to fit through haha.It does seem to oil a bit better cutting on the top side.I'll either get or make one of those aux oilers sometime,though the big Husky's auto oilers are very efficient already.Do like my older big Mac's & Homie's with their manual oiler override thumb button,the 2100D has one too.the 288XPW is automatic only however.To my knowledge no saw maker has had an manual button since the late 80's or so.It used to be standard on pretty much every saw,from small to very large.Really helps out in the extra big,tough,frozen or pitchy stuff.
