Thanks friends! I wrote it in MS Word, pasted diagrams. WWW is coming home 45 min early to proof (I have so many items that could be under a few different points) and he rocks at writing and presenting.

AND............ I joined Zoom, scheduled a meeting with my business email on laptop across the room and SHARED, the presentation successfully, with sound LOL :)

Thanks again for the offer Woodwidow , I gotter' done :)

I'm registered for my 3 minutes of public comment, and he registered too. So, if I finally get called on at 9 pm at night (when I'm already spent for the day), he can present my 3 minutes too. :dex:

They either have chitty IT, or it’s an attempt to silence opinions.

It came back on finally. They cut everybody down to 2 minutes instead of 3 minutes.

Kiddo spoke, WWW spoke after they resumed. But then I was NOT able to share my presentation w diagrams and graphs after all the technical problems :headbang::mad:

How disappointing when you have gone to all that work.

Worse, I could not show it to the audience or Board. It is well researched and easy to follow. I'm extremely disappointed. The plan was between 3 minutes both WWW and myself = 6 minutes, We run through my presentation and kiddo gets the last 1.5 minutes. NOPE. Our opinions are suppressed. In the State Constitution there is a law that all comments must be heard. There is also a State Statute that all public comments must be heard, a recent county board meeting went til 11 pm at night with comments abiding by our laws. The School Board did not honor either. I'm extremely disheartened.

Will there be enough of a protest that the meeting would be held again considering all the technical issues with the first one?

Sorry it was such a chit show wildwest ... maybe Woodwidow is right and there's a technical reason to re-do?

They are keeping everything as is and another meeting on 9/10.

They let a certain speaker go over time, a doctor ironically the doctor I signed up with after moving here because of her so called rheumatology experience-I only saw her once for consultation. She changed office hours 4-6 pm twice a week and stopped seeing patients at all shortly after. The audience protested that they were signed up to speak but they shut down in person public comment but let the doc have a lot of time, so, they just cut the feed and left everyone in the dark. Then started a part two live stream but only the people in the audience that did not need to see it online were told. We all sat there with out black screens :picard:

The microphones for the first couple hours did not work properly they cut the live stream at their nilly willy, and shut down public comment, what a mess.

And these people are in charge of our children?

Since when does Open Door Laws, the State Constitution AND State Statutes regarding public comment at a public meeting not matter?

    :rootintootin:

I wish, they had their minds made up before any parents spoke. That, and it appears they set the in person people there up be it incompetence or intentional. RICH they used ONE item of the state statute to shut down the meeting, but ignore the OTHER item that says public comments are allowed. I feel powerless, they don't care.
