    I never smoked, but one of the few items I got from my paternal Grandfather was his Zippo. Not sure if it's functional, it doesn't smell like lighter fluid anymore. It does spark and has a wick.

    Those in the know might be able to able to answer an unknown family rumor. Is this possibility the one he carried in WWII? One aunt says it was, the other says no. It doesn't matter to me, it would just be interesting to know.

    according to this if I am reading it correctly and viewing the digits on bottom of your zippo, it appears it was made in 1971?
    If I understand that page correctly prior to 58, they just stamped patents on the bottom?
