That's actually not a bad price on that machine...I gave something like $4500 for my 1752 Timecutter Z clear back in 2001...first year for Toro ZTR mowers...it had sealed 1850(?) Hydrogear trans, a single cyl 17 HP Kohler, and a thin stamped steel deck...this Titan is a much better mower for the money...and almost 20 years later, so inflation and all that!

And that's why the 4299 + tax raptor xd is a good deal. Same 2800 hydros, same gauge fabbed 54" deck, 23 hp kawi which while it's less hp than the 26 hp Kohler on the titan, it's still a better engine.

For used, I'm either seeing 1000+ hr commercial units for 3500+ that I'd have to drive to get, and could very well be inheriting a problem. There's no deals at this point on used.

Good point...and BTW, that's still plenty of HP...my Mini-Z has a 20 HP Kohler twin, and I do not want for more power...and bonus, it gets great "fuel mileage" too.

I mean, that 60" one that JRHAWK9 posted is a great deal, but it's too wide for my needs

I can't use a 60" either...just too wide for many spots...even if I can get through, it just doesn't follow the contour of this yard as well...I used my brothers 54" Super Z last night (because my second set (long story) of bar thread tires didn't come in yet, and I needed to mow, didn't feel like putting my old tires back on for just one mowing either!) and I'd say that is about as wide as I can go without getting an inferior cut.

Horkn. I cannot use a 60” either with acres of mowing as ground is too uneven

I think so, at that price at least. 3 year 300 hr warranty, no way I'll get 300 hrs in 3 years.

Horkn , with respect to time spent mowing, going from the slow Wheel Horse w/48” cut to the Toro Z Master w/“52 my time was cut literally in half, from @5.5 hrs to @2.5 to cut 3 acres and I don’t really mow wide open, probably about 5mph

    Continued luck in your search!

1/2 the time with a zero turn sounds about right.

Not yet. The dealer hasn't called me. So in the meanwhile, I'm looking at a 5-6 yr old ferris IS1500z with a kawasaki and 360 hrs. He wants a bit too much though. For the $ I might as well just get the new hustler raptor xd that's coming in. I have a feeling they were just delayed to deliver to dealers

Ok, I was second on that ferris. At the price I was willing to pay as well. It was clean, but honestly, I'd rather have a new under warranty mower for 1k more.

I'll keep looking but used are getting crazy prices now. Plus finding a clean low hours one is difficult. Otherwise, even though the hustler dealer still hasn't called yet saying it's in, I will give them a few more days, maybe I'll find the holy grail by then?

These hustlers seem to be arriving at dealerships now, based on my searches, so probably the dealer that I'm on the" top of the list and they'll call me as soon as they arrive"

Another dealer 55 miles away had the same mower I want for the same price, except there's slightly less tax in rural Wisconsin. They say they'll deliver in a 50 mile radius.. hmmm

I'm taking next Friday off, and it's a pay day, so we'll see. :makeitrain"

I saw on fbm, a guy trying to scam people with his bottom of the line toro that he paid 5500 for it only 2 years ago, and now selling for 3k. Ummm. You can buy a new one for that.

Then there's so many $1000, selling it for my starter, etc, context me at whatever email, and only 1 picture... Scam. So many of those

Do you think they ever get anyone to bite on those scams? Seems one would have to be quite stupid.

Weren't you looking for one last season? What did you end up mowing with back then? Did you use that old mower you put the engine on I guess?
