I did watch that one, too...I said to myself, "Self- no way, no how!" Same here on driving around w/out the cluster. Thankfully, I only have a 2 mile commute to work...
YouTube is such a great resource. As a young (not anymore) homeowner it was my go to for any new project I hadn't any background in. Just last week I was certain the washing machine just needed a new clutch as it sometimes wouldn't spin. YouTube had previously helped me fix a no agitate/spin situation so it was my first place to consult. Yup, in 2 minutes found a good vid and in 2 more minutes had all the confidence in the world. $15, 45 minutes with a 3 yr old "helper" and the washer was back to doing its job. Now, as we all know, you have to take the good with the bad and figure out which "how-to's" are actually worthwhile. It is the internet after all.
In the last year I youfixed headlight assembly on pickup, water pump and steering column on the pickup as well. My gas dryer, neighbors riding mower and a guy at work that was scared to fix a clip feed problem on a gun. I love it for a resource!
