They did something to the Inferno's, they burn just like Pres-to's now. Can't even tell when the P43 goes from one to the other.

That could be your stove. If the P-61 was the same, then I'd say you're on to something.

The P61 also liked them - there was a big difference going from the ThermaGlo's. Not scientific, but the ash went way down and used less pellets. Only used a couple of bags of the Inferno's for testing, then started back with the TG's. Could immediately tell when the TG's hit the pot. Since the P61 doesn't have a very large area to heat, and wind does not affect that area, I run the worst of my pellets down there usually.

The P43 has an oven thermometer in front of the air stream, so I know for a fact I had the same temps coming out using the Inferno's as when I use PTL's (plus ash was the same). And no, the thermometer doesn't just stick at that temp; I ran a bag of Okies thru it starting Thursday and the air stream has been 25* higher than PTL's. I ran TG's thru the P43 quite a while ago and they ran a lot colder than the PTL's.

I'm glad you're happy with the Inferno's. It sounds like you're having better luck with them than I am.

I think some(like pallet pete) they might not have much choice.......... But knowledge is likely the main issue. Aren't all pellets the same?

    Got any new contenders??

Penningtons are the worst I saw when out xmas shopping. Cheasy heats and chit river have yet to be found. Might go on a turd pellet scavenger hunt just to see. Maybe crab a few and hand em off to the worthy like Santa hands out chunks of coal.... :D

Maybe we should vote for the worst of the worst?? Or would that be worser??

    Brands in the running.......

    Wood Fibers Inc.
    Cheat River/AWP
    Penningtons
    Michigan Wood pellets
    Maeder Brothers
    North American/Curran
    NEWP/Green Supreme
    Easy Heat
    Freedom Fuel
    Eco Flame
    ThermoGlo's
    Geneva's
    Big Heat
    AWF pine
    Bayou
    Stove Chow.

Can anyone add to these before I start a new thread with a poll??

Correct my above post. Cheat Rivers are sisters to AWP brand.
