Just a suggestion for the "Best" Pellet this year.....

Compare them as Price per BTU. That way the DF Nuclear pellets will scale with low(er) cost pellets.

Now how you measure BTU is something that needs to be worked out. :rootintootin:

Burning FSU's I picked up at HD a month ago. And liking them.

I sometimes wonder how they ship Bomb Calorimeter's without the shipping documents causing suspicion.

Wood Fibers Inc by a long shot

I could deal with the ash. I could deal with the lack of heat. I couldn't deal with the noise the agitator in the 6041 made when the screws and nails started showing up in the burn pot.

Apparently I'm the only one that got the ThermaGlo's when I was expecting something else from HD - Currans are not good (for the price), but seriously, they aren't THAT bad.

I think its kind of a majority thing. A key you hit on is many might not have burned ThermoGlo's(or maybe another brand) that could actually be a bit worser? But it is kind of fun seeing what the majority thinks.

    :)

I thought I was going to get Chows because the closest HD had gotten a bunch at the beginning of the season (wehn I ordered delivery). But they wouldn't let me specify what got delivered. So I was surprised when I got the TG's. I will never, ever allow HD to deliver pellets to me again unless they change their policy. To be fair, when I had tried TG's the previous year, they weren't that bad (ashy, but at least put out some heat) - the batch from fall 2015 was just horrid though.

I guess that between here and the old watering hole, I learned that if someone else touches a hot stove and gets burned, maybe I souldnt touch it eather. Of the choices the only ones I have burned have been NEWP.

Funny thing when I started burning in 2009 someone in the business (Chimney Guy for a friends venting install) recommended Michigan Wood Pellets as being one of the better ones in 2008. I found out different, probably from J's testing back then.

In all reality the worst I burned isnt on the list-a half ton of Green Teame in 2010 or 2011 messed up my stove pretty good. But in 2009 they were all I burned and were fine.

2 weeks ago they had em stacked in the store. Last years left overs and restacked due to some water damage.....(by what the sales rep stated!)..... They were $5.19 or something like that. But I figured they be getting ready to blow em out they way they were set up in the store.

Still not sure I'd waste my time even at $2.82 a bag. I no likey dem much at all!! Blek even!!
