I'm not loving this tree of heaven I'm burning right now but it is putting out enough heat that in a few minutes my girlfriend shouldn't need her sweater.

Even the worst firewood is still firewood!

With all of the talk on this site about being on the 3 year plan and only burning dry wood, I am surprised no one said their least favorite wood was WET wood.:thumbs::whistle::whistle:

The worst around in N. California I've used, stinks like menthol, Camphor, nasty stuff. I started hoarding in 2012 when I got my insert. I'm burning wood that I collected several years ago. I don't scrounge as much anymore now that I know what I actually need. Only about 1-1/2 cords.

I quit burning my least favorite wood years ago but i guess Silver Maple or Box elder, the least favorite one i still burn would be Mulberry, dries slow and middle of road wood, dont believe the btu charts. My Bur Oak beats it hands down.

I would say Tree of Heaven even tho I havent burnt any in the stove yet. Hate it because it rings my field and when I cut it down the seeds go everywhere,,,and of course the runners are quite healthy too.
Gotta toss Catalpa in the mix just to needle Brad LOL. And I got a nice size one coming down some time this winter.
