Yeah it is. Heated our ole farm the first winter we were there… and it was cut that same fall. Wasn't great, but it burned…

Seen/heard Asplundh in the past few days again, this time just 3 blocks north & about 3 east on a side street closer to home...Early afternoon looked down the street as I was going south seen their barricade & 2 trucks. Then late this afternoon heard the saws & the chipper going pretty clearly, even for that far from me.Went down that street about 45 minutes ago after grabbing a quick sandwich out somewhere. And this was sitting on the curb.....

At least I burned off that massive chicken sandwich & large onion ring anyway... :tree::saw::axe::rofl:

My tree guy has had 2 ads on CL since last Friday - first one was a big trailer load of Silver Maple & Mulberry from 2 trees removed that day,the ad was deleted in a few hours & today he took down another large Maple in the suburbs NW of me.

Kinda short on space until Fall now,I can scrounge a few pieces myself here & there & stop when out of room. But he will only deliver free full dump loads at the end of the day (I don't blame him,its normally between 2.5 & 3.5 large pickup loads in that big trailer) and I cant accept that much at once now unfortunately.

Almost out of room, stacked this on a couple 2 x 4's & some scrap plywood,on north side of shed.Roughly 1/2 p/u load.Saved 2 biggest rounds with nice curl/crotch grain for future turning blocks.

Tree guy had another CL ad Thursday afternoon - big Linden (Basswood) tree coming down,at least a trailer load.Dont need any more softwood for Spring/Fall - Have almost 4 p/u loads Silver Maple that should be ready by November + 1/2 load of leftover White Pine that's 14 months old now.

Would be great if you're a woodcarver/sculptor though....Hopefully some local artist will grab some,I hate to see things go to waste, even if I don't need them.:tree::axe::cool:
