My grandpa used to chew a plug and a cake type. I think it was Mammoth Cave and Days End, something like that. A cut of each. He offered some to me several times but I thought it looked nasty. I tried Copenhagen and one of the others in college but thankfully never got into it. Had a chew of red man once....whew that was enough.

It doesn't, lady sets saw down after a minute more of sawing to help hold it up, leans down to start the saw again and it ends with her yanking the pull cord.

I think it was called "Day's work" . My dad ran a country store and sold all types of tobacco products. Another brand was "Bloodhound".
Also sold the fine ground dry snuff, older ladies used it mostly...

Days O' work is what it is called. Plug chew. I use to use it when haying in the summer when I was a kid. I remember having that and a clorox bottle filled up with water and we would wrap a burlap sack around it and dip it in the crick or river to help keep it cool longer.

My one and only chew was when I was in college. A buddy and I were standing in a Cypress swamp in hip waders, duck hunting. He asked if I wanted a chew and I accepted and tucked a large gob in my cheek. Bull O The Woods or maybe Red Man. Didn't know enough to spit so I kept swallowing. Next thing I was all dizzy and dazed and realized the only reason I was still upright is my buddy had grabbed me and kept me standing. I had almost dropped my shotgun and plopped down in 2 ft of dark swamp with my waders and skivvies full of water and squirmy things. Never again thank you!

I knew it was something like that... one looked like leaves twisted up, the other looked like a brownie.
