In these trying times you find solace in some of the most simple moments.
I’ve been lucky enough to have some quality time with my dad as we do things around the house.
One particular time he was reminiscing about the earlier years with mom and the adventures they have had together.
Now I’ve never been married so I asked him how and when he knew mom was the right woman.
“That’s easy” he said.
“We would take leisurely drives to nowhere in particular on the weekends when we were just dating” he went on to say “on one particular trip the old jalopy broke down so I set about to repair it”.
Part way in I needed to remove a machine head screw so I asked your mother to pass me a screwdriver.
She replied, Phillips head, flathead or Vodka?
That’s when I knew she was the right gal for me!”
If only times were as easy now.
Had this ready yesterday then forgot to hit "post."
Wake up Marge. They told me the campground closed a few years ago. We have to leave.
Umm...I think I just got my feelings hurt! Now where's that danged report button?
How's the hounds doing Dave?
There is probably some sort of nuisance law if I drove my jeep that way!
Actually, it's the third Saturday in May and it's the Jeep that goes topless ....
